For my early B-day gift, my two BFFs and I went across state lines to watch Shame.
*Our state is too puritanical to show an NC-17 movie.
I sprinted to the theatre like mad. *We went to the wrong theatre by accident.
I was so happy when we finally reached our destination. The theater was very “bougie”. I got the sense that everyone thought too highly of themselves.
*Oh I’m so artsy watching my NC-17 movie* They were acting like we were watching a black and white film in French without subtitles.

The first ten minutes of Shame, I was like:

So… if you havent noticed, I’ve been gone all day because I went on this journey to see the movie Shame. Yeah I had to go out of the state to see it.

So my friends & I went to this artsy type theater to see it and it was just so quiet. Before we went to the theater, I thought to myself, ‘watch this theater will probably have something special like . . a box of pocky’
It did.
Anyway, after we got our tickets, we walked in to get our seats and the room was small and extra quiet. It felt too close & personal for me. I started laughing all hard & shit and I was like ok stop be mature.
I don’t know what to say about the movie really. I’m just at a loss for words. It was alright. Just a lot of dick and titties flying everywhere. (mostly tits) I almost cried for Brandon while he was having his threesome. I just felt it in that scene. It was hot & all but he had such a bad sex addiction I felt sorry for him.
And I must be really slow because half the movie I was questioning whether Sissy was really his sister. I mean.. there was one scene where he walked in on her naked and they started to have a mini convo and another scene where she walked in on him masturbating and he comes out with the towel on and goes on top of her while shes on the couch and Im like,
& then he starts yelling at her while shaking her and his towel starts falling off… so Im like wtf? I thought they were just saying they were bro & sis to people just to say that. But obviously I know now they are brother & sister. Oh dear… XD
I was bored half the movie too. ;_; It was really quiet and not much dialogue. Maybe it was just me. The movie was fine though.

Clearly there is something flawed in the rating system.
If I was to say which film was more sexually explicit, violent or had more themes that should be completely out of children’s viewing and get an NC-17 that would be GwtDT. But no… since Shame shows the male form nude it must be so much worse and get the higher rating.

I was on the plane waiting for everyone to board and I was wondering who would sit next to me. Well the plane was 90% boarded and then this lady came up to the seat next to me and gave off a look like

The whole flight was just awkward and uncomfortable. I can’t believe she asked to move her seat. Who does that? There’s not even a good reason to be up in the front of the plane though.
