Can we just talk about how she doesn’t even bother to try seriously taking Amon in a fight? She knows she’s beaten, she knows she was about to get taken from one bad place to another, and she turns and runs. This isn’t a very Korra-like thing to do, which means she’s matured and learned from her time being caught. It’s that pressing a fight doesn’t always end well - as she found with Tarrlok - and that there are times to run. But still, she takes a shot because otherwise he would have the gain on her. She’s becoming a strategist. Not to mention how she used the snow to her advantage, because Amon moves fast and she knows it.
I’m just so proud of Korra in this scene.
Oh my gosh you are entirely right about this. I remember first watching this scene, I had thought the same thing about how running away wasn’t a very Korra thing to do. She really is learning from all these encounters and growing.
